I shadowed Central Washington Universities Wildcat Shop clothing and general merchandising buyer.My time was spent participating in every day store activities and buying responsibilities as well as taking on task myself. By the end of the summer I had the skills in creating a Purchase Order, checking it in as well as displaying it on the floor. My other responsibilities included being in charge of filling and creating new displays for the CWU Boutique, I was in charge of the boutique section on the floor as well.
The team I worked with in my internship were incredibly helpful and I am so glad I got this opportunity. The knowledgeI gained, I know I can apply it to future jobs. Not only did I get to be a sales associate, I got to help buy, and check in products to get almost the full supply chain experience . I also got to work a lot with a variety of products, I wasn’t just working with clothing but jewelry, accessories and giftware as well. This opportunity boosted my perseverance to be succesful in my career field.
